Taita Juanito Chindoy
As the head healer and founder of Finca Ambiwasi, Taita Juanito, as he is affectionately called, works as a spiritual leader, healer, traditional botanist, and medicine man. Taita was born in the Putumayo region of Southern Colombia into the indigenous Inga tribe. Taita’s 30 years of study in the Yagé culture come from the Siona and Inga tribes of Putumayo. In addition to being a healer, Taita is a botanist and has a line of powerful healing tinctures and lotions called Ambinatural.
Taita Juan is a master teacher and healer that has dedicated his life’s work to serving humanity. He works with a tireless dedication to the mission of helping alleviate humanity from suffering through his work with the ancient and sacred plant medicine of Yagé. He welcomes you all with an open heart and deep gratitude to Finca Ambiwasi to join him in this mission.

Taita Carlos Chindoy
Taita Carlos is a living example of service, humility, and connection to nature. Brother of Taita Juan and Taita Lucho, Taita Carlos has over 35 years of experience on the Yagé path.

Mayor Isaias Roman
Mayor Isaias belongs comes from the Huitoto Community of the Colombian Amazon. He has been studying the sacred medicines of Mambe and Ambil for over 43 years. Don Isaias is a guardian and elder of our community. Through the use of the Mambe and the Ambil, he exchanges healing words and wisdom.

Taita Luis Chindoy
Taita Lucho, as he is affectionately called, is a traditional healer and botanist from the Inga and Siona tribes of Putumayo, Colombia. Taita Lucho is the brother of Taita Juan and Taita Carlos. He has his own healing center in Putumayo called Finca Sachawasi.

Mama Jairsagua Furativa Gacheta
Mama Jairsa is a dream weaver, healer, and bridge to the ancestral female lineage. Mama Jairsa is the matriarch of our community and a master weaver. She is the guardian of our women’s program.

Juan David Muñoz
Juanda is a master musician and composer and has been on the Yagé path for about 20 years. He is the director of music at Ambiwasi.
